JOHOR BAHRU: The manager of Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), Hector Bidoglio was happy with the quality of play shown by his players after beating Kelantan FC 5-0 in the second quarter-final action of the Malaysia Cup at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, last night.
However, Bidoglio pointed out that there were two differences that occurred in the match when his players played in a fast pattern and there were times when they were too hasty which affected the pace of the game a little.
“Players think and focus more when playing fast and organized and even show good combinations through ball movement, but when acting in a hurry, players quickly panic and lose concentration.
“The situation happened in the 25 minutes of the first half and they were only able to score one goal but after that they started to think and calm down.

“In the 15 minutes at the end of the first half, the game was more interesting after the players started to apply pressure and managed to score four goals in a short period of time and I am satisfied with what they did,” he said.
At the action, Bergson Da Silva performed amazingly after creating a hat-trick in the 10th, 34th and 37th minutes, while Syahmi Safari scored a goal in the 40th minute, followed by Nazmi Faiz Mansor (44) to complete the South Tigers’ stylish victory.
The victory allowed them to qualify for the semi-finals with an aggregate score of 8-0.
The Argentine-born manager also admitted that his actions of not fielding Leandro Velazquez and Feroz Baharudin who collected one yellow card in the prestigious cup competition were part of tactical planning.
He said that the first semi-final against Sabah FC at the Likas Stadium on Tuesday is very important and both players will return to strengthen JDT and they should play more carefully to avoid a second yellow card.
“Shahrul (Saad) is free from suspension and will play in the semi-final later. It’s a difficult match even though we have beaten Sabah but that’s an old story,” he said.
